They predict a battle between Atlantic weather systems, with the potential for heavy and persistent rain or showers, especially in the south and west. But here's the kicker: it's likely to turn colder, bringing the risk of snow, particularly on the hills of Scotland and northern England.
The forecast for February also hints at more wintry weather, with Atlantic frontal systems pushing eastwards and bringing wetter conditions to central and southern areas.
