Meet the $1.2 Million Filly: I Am Invincible's Legacy with Gai Waterhouse and Adrian Bott (2026)

Get ready for a thrilling tale of horse racing and a million-dollar acquisition! The story of the $1.2 million filly, a true champion in the making, is about to unfold.

Champion sire I Am Invincible, a legendary name in the racing world, has produced a remarkable filly that has captured the attention of everyone at Magic Millions. This filly, a true beauty, was sold for an incredible $1.2 million, setting the tone for an exciting week of auctions.

But here's where it gets interesting: the new owners, Knine Inc/Rising Sun Syndicate, have a special connection to this filly. Bred and offered by Kia Ora Stud, the filly will be trained by the renowned duo, Gai Waterhouse and Adrian Bott, who also have the pleasure of training her talented brother, I'm Ya Huckleberry.

I'm Ya Huckleberry, a two-year-old with an impressive debut, finished a close second in the Group III ATC Breeders Plate, and is now a favorite for the Golden Slipper. It's a family affair, and the Rising Sun Syndicate couldn't be happier.

Kosi Kawakami, representing the syndicate, shared their excitement: "We wanted the best filly from this catalogue for our Japanese owners, and when we saw this horse, we knew she was exceptional. Her brother's success under Gai and Adrian's training spoke volumes, and we had to have her."

And this is the part most people miss: the emotional connection. Kawakami continued, "We fell in love with her. It was a real honor to secure a million-dollar filly, and I'm thrilled beyond words."

Adrian Bott, the trainer, was equally delighted to welcome the sibling of I'm Ya Huckleberry to their stable. He praised the family's racing pedigree and their high opinion of the three-quarter brother already in training. "We've seen his potential on the track, and the filly's physical presence and presentation at the sale sealed the deal for us."

The star filly is the third foal of Key, a Group III placed mare with an impressive lineage. Key herself was purchased for $600,000 and is a granddaughter of the renowned Princess Coup, a Champion NZ 3YO Filly who has produced a dynasty of top performers.

So, what do you think? Is this a wise investment, or a risky move? The world of horse racing is full of surprises, and this acquisition certainly has its fair share of controversy. Do you agree with the Rising Sun Syndicate's decision? Share your thoughts in the comments below!
